My yoga journey
I’m a digital designer by trade and spend a great deal of my time sitting at my desk working on a computer. I originally turned to practising yoga to counteract the stressful effects of my job.
When my dad died suddenly several years ago, I noticed how my grief manifested itself in physical ailments and realised I needed more of a work / life balance.
After attending a Yoga foundation course to deepen my practice and knowledge of yoga, I decided to go freelance and went down to a four day working week to put my spare time and energy into a 2 year yoga teacher training course at Triyoga in London with Susannah Hoffman and Tim Cummins.
It was during the undertaking of this course and observing and assisting my teachers that I realised how many people struggle with a disconnect between mind and body.
It has become my focus as a teacher to help provide a safe space where students can reconnect with themselves and provide a yoga ‘toolkit’ to help them feel better in daily life.
“The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships. ”
